AMPED America’s first product is the AMP2400, which is a Class D amplifier that weighs only 17.5 lbs but offers a claimed 400W per channel into 8 Ohms and 800W per channel into 4 Ohms.

Unlike most “high end” Class D amps offered today, AMPED America uses neither Hypex nCore nor ICEpower modules. The $5500 AMP2400 is quite a flexible amp, with XLR and RCA inputs, selectable gain, and even a switch to limit fan volume.

The AMP2400 also has 12V trigger remote on/standby capability, but it uses a Phoenix connector rather than the usual 1/8” jack. Therefore, a headphone cable had to be sacrificed on the altar of convenience.

AMPED America claims the AMP2400 is designed, engineered, and tested in America. Stay tuned for a full review.
