Paradigm Engineers Most Advanced Soundbars Yet

PW Soundbar & Soundplay deliver virtual surround-sound performance and wireless connectivity

Dallas, Texas – CEDIA 2016 – SR-1 – September 15, 2016 – Paradigm Electronics Inc., international leader in speaker design and manufacturing, announces the introduction of the PW Soundbar and Soundplay – powered soundbars able to create an immersive surround-sound experience. Featuring advanced wireless connectivity, these soundbars are building blocks to a whole-home ecosystem.

PW Soundbar and Soundplay are suitable for any space, with the option to wall-mount the unit above or below a television, or simply place it on a credenza or shelf. Both soundbars measure 46-inches and are designed to pair with televisions 55-inches and larger.

PW Soundbar, the newest model in Paradigm Premium Wireless Series, have a step-up feature set including HDMI inputs and DTS® Play-Fi®, providing wireless multi-room streaming capability.

Both the PW Soundbar and Soundplay feature the latest implementation of exclusive Anthem Room Correction (ARC™) technology, enabling users to tailor the audio experience in any listening environment. ARC™ uses an exclusive calibration microphone and advanced DSP algorithms to quickly and easily optimize speaker performance in any space.

Users are able to utilize ARC via a PC using proprietary software, or by using the new Anthem ARC Mobile app, currently supported on iOS devices. A calibration microphone is included with each soundbar and provides connectivity options for both PC’s via USB or mobile iOS devices via the headphone jack. Alternatively, users can use the microphone embedded in their mobile iOS device.

Both the PW Soundbar and Soundplay have the ability to link to a pair of dedicated rear surround speakers to provide a multi-channel listening experience. Users will also be able to inject third party sources into the wireless eco-system, allowing remote playback with local hardwired sources.

The PW Soundbar and Soundplay driver array consists of nine 2.5-inch full-range drivers, each driver is capable of producing nearly the full audio spectrum, from deep bass to the high frequencies needed for precise imaging details. To achieve this, Paradigm engineers increased driver excursion and added a pure copper shorting cap to the motor system.

At low frequencies, all nine drivers work in unison, producing as much deep, musical bass as an 8-inch subwoofer. Attaching the dust cap directly to the former replicates a high performance tweeter design, with copper shorting cup to lower inductive loss, and produces brilliant high frequency details. Because the full audio range is produced by each individual compact driver, performance is blended perfectly across the entire audible frequency spectrum.

The nine full-range drivers are divided into three sets within the narrow soundbar structure. Each set is aimed at scientifically-determined angles, to send sound information out to specific locations within the listening area. This driver-aiming arrangement delivers a more uniform soundfield, with more dynamic range and more realistically blended response, than any other soundbars in this class.

• Pair with other speakers in Paradigm’s Premium Wireless Series to build whole room or whole home wireless audio systems
• Source rebroadcast – wirelessly stream third-party sources to other Premium Wireless products in the home.
• Compatible with iOS, Android, PC and MAC
• Wireless Rear Surrounds – wirelessly connect other Premium Wireless products; such as the PW 600 or PW AMP, for a dedicated 5-channel surround sound experience.
