Paradigm’s first outdoor loudspeaker system boasts superior audio performance for any climate
Dallas, Texas – CEDIA 2016 – SR-1 – September 15, 2016 – Paradigm Electronics Inc., international leader in speaker design and manufacturing, is expanding its product lineup to include the brand’s first high performance outdoor loudspeaker system. Garden Oasis speakers deliver dynamic, natural sound, and weatherproof technology makes it ideal for any outdoor climate.
The fully scalable system includes 4-inch and 6-inch satellite speakers, as well as 10-inch and 12-inch subwoofers. Each satellite speaker can be switched between 8 ohm, 70V and 100V options. Paradigm’s patent pending Reduced Edge Diffraction (RED™) technology enhances dispersion characteristics and performance.

Each of the satellite speakers is encased in a completely sealed, waterproof enclosure, which houses premium driver and tweeter components. This enclosure is molded in heavy-duty fade-resistant thermoplastic and tinted to blend with the outdoor environment. A thermoplastic shell and mounting stem allow the speaker to withstand extreme temperatures. Additionally, its high crystallinity, with high UVB resistance, keeps it from cracking over time, making it the best material for a long, trouble-free life out-of-doors. Each satellite speaker includes an off-season cap for extra protection from the elements.
“Quick Connect” mounting and aiming options offer the flexibility to mount the speakers on the ground, on a deck rail, in a tree, or under an eave. The half-inch threaded “Quick Twist Cap” mount is designed to work with outdoor lighting accessories as well as exterior speaker mounts, spikes and wire-protecting burial boxes.
The system also includes a unique 10-inch and 12-inch underground subwoofer. With only a chimney port visible once installed, this part of the system also blends seamlessly with its surroundings. The enclosure is constructed of high-density polyethylene, the same material used for underground septic tanks and water systems. This enclosure has been successfully tested underwater and in environments ranging from -20°F to 150°F. The woofer’s low-heat design is vented through the chimney, providing a constant flow of fresh air while protecting the system from harsh weather and water. The flared chimney port system, combined with a polypropylene cone woofer, with a high excursion surround and a high-intensity magnet structure, produces deep, musical bass without chuffing or extraneous vibration.
