Hayward, CA, September, 2008 — Earthquake Sound Corporation, a world renowned manufacturer of high-performance loudspeakers and entertainment products, now offers a high-performance line of 8” angled in-ceiling speakers that create an enveloping SweetSpot.

With a continuing shift to in-ceiling loudspeakers as the preference in most homes, Earthquake is emerging to further address the need for these speakers to focus directly on the listening area. SweetSpot speakers mount flush in-ceiling with a 20° angle to create the appropriate sound stage for custom theater applications.

The SweetSpot speakers themselves feature high-performance polypropylene woofers and 1” silk dome eyeball tweeters that can be manually positioned. Performance is enhanced dramatically due to the open position and the precision with which the speaker can be tailored. To help better sculpt the desires of listeners a built-in ±3dB tonal control center is supplied for fine tuning. Supporting the angled design is Earthquakes R435 echo control dampening material which helps kill echoes and eliminates stray sound waves, also known as reflections and refractions.

Custom installers use SweetSpot speakers because of the visibly high quality components, easy to use Turn-N-Lock installation mechanisms and easy to install magnetically attached grilles. Installers also paint the grille/ frame to compliment/match different decors.
