Dan Clark started MrSpeakers, now Dan Clark Audio, in 2012. His goal was to design and build headphones in San Diego that delivered an exceptional and unique experience not only through superior sound but also exceptional comfort.

At Dan Clark Audio, we believe audiophile performance can be delivered at a variety of prices and we strive to deliver both incredible performance and high value for each and every product. A particular specialty of the company is making closed headphones that sound open, eliminating that closed-in “cuppy” sound common to so many closed headphones. Another area of company expertise is comfort, using state of the art titanium headbands, for example to radically reduce the headphone weight while increasing comfort.

Dan Clark Audio was founded by Dan Clark, an electrical engineer who has been working in and around the high-end audio market for more than twenty years. Dan’s experience includes working in high-end audio retail, designing amplifiers and electronics for personal use, and designing commercial and custom loudspeaker solutions, including the highly-regarded and award winning Platinum Audio speakers from the late 1990’s. Dan has a particular fondness for Isobaric subwoofers. Dan also has a BS in Engineering and an MBA, accompanied by more than 30 years experience in high technology marketing and product development.
