See the complete review for the Canton Reference 7 Floor-Standing Speakers.
As the highest series in the Canton product lineup, the Reference series represents the company’s pinnacle of speaker design, emphasizing advanced engineering, premium materials, and high aesthetic appeal. The Reference 7, which is the focus of the upcoming review, is the smallest floor-standing speaker in the Reference series. As such, the speaker positions itself as an attractive solution for hi-fi applications in small to medium-sized spaces.
The Canton Reference 7 stands at approximately 39 inches tall and weighs around 73 pounds. The cabinet is constructed from multilayer MDF with curved sidewalls that enhance its visual appeal and help reduce standing waves to improve its acoustic performance. Each speaker is equipped with a 1” aluminum oxide tweeter, a 6” Black Ceramic Tungsten (BCT) midrange, and two 6” BCT woofers in a bass-reflex design. In standard finishes (glossy black or glossy white), the Reference 7 carries an MSRP of $8,000/pair. A premium Walnut finish is also available for an additional $1000/pair.
My upcoming review will delve into more details the features as well as the sonic performance of these handsome German speakers.
