The Basics
The Raidho X2.6 is a floor-standing speaker with a planar magnetic tweeter, two aluminum/ceramic woofers, bass porting, and a premium aesthetic. Available in white or black piano, it features metal front baffles, heavy support for the drivers’ moving parts, and substantial outriggers for inert sound and rock-solid stability. Though not inexpensive at €21,000 a pair, they use technology found in Raidho’s flagship TD6 tower which costs a cool €230,000.
Raidho was founded in 2003 as a high-end speaker manufacturer and today offers products that cover a wide range of budgets, up to its flagship TD6 towers that retail for €230,000 a pair. Form and function are offered in equal measure with a premium aesthetic and reference-quality audio.
The Raidho X2.6 represents a bang-for-the-buck option in the product matrix where you get much of the performance from the flagship TD6 at a more approachable price point. The tie-in is the planar magnetic tweeter which is an extremely precise transducer measuring 2.75” x 1.5.” It features coverage up to 50 kHz and extremely wide dispersion. The X2.6s are very flexible to place and can be set very wide apart to create a broad sound stage in large rooms. They are equally capable in a more intimate setting for one or two listeners. Fit and finish are as good as it gets with available piano black or white finish, metal front baffles, and substantial aluminum outriggers with ball bearing isolator feet. At 6 ohms and 87dB sensitivity, they aren’t super power hungry, but you will want the best possible electronics to take full advantage of their precise imaging and high resolution.

The Follow-Up
The Raidho brand is new to me and to Secrets. A quick search of the site shows that they have factored into our audio show coverage going back a decade, but we’ve never actually reviewed a pair. I am enjoying being the first to check them out and am already impressed with their accuracy, clarity, and presence. My initial notes talk about their addictive quality for rock and heavy metal music and their unfailing neutrality with classical selections.
Be on the lookout for our full review to drop on the SECRETS website in the coming weeks.
