DALI EPIKORE 7 Floor-standing Loudspeakers Preview

The DALI EPIKORE 7s are the smallest of three floor-standing speakers in DALI’s penultimate speaker range. It is a very luxurious implementation of a high-end speaker that embodies leading-edge technologies to satisfy even the pickiest audiophile.

The Basics:

DALI claims the EPIKORE 7 is a “high-end compact floor-stander. An evolution of the DALI EPICON series and the flagship DALI KORE, this 3½-way masterpiece combines two low-loss, 7-inch DALI bass/midrange drivers and our unique DALI EVO-K™ Hybrid Tweeter module to deliver a world-class visual and musical performance for medium to large-sized rooms.” So, these are speakers that benefit from significant trickle-down technologies pioneered by one of the planet’s most venerable speaker companies.

The Rundown:

The DALI EPIKORE 7 speakers are a sight to behold. They consistently garner raves from my house guests with their luxurious, beautifully finished cabinets and the lovely black trim on the front baffle. Speakers this beautiful inspire confidence before you even fire them up. Once the music begins, your suspicions are instantly confirmed. I will have a lot to say about their sound quality in my upcoming review, but suffice to say, you can judge this book by its cover.

This particular model is considered a “compact” floor-stander by DALI, and they are most at home in medium-sized rooms, though I am sure they would work in larger rooms as well. They are available in four standard finishes to match your décor. They are packed with oodles of thoughtful tech and lifestyle touches and would be at home in many systems. They are also easy to drive and would work well with a wide range of amplifiers.

In my upcoming review, I will be testing these speakers with some excellent amplifiers, including the Marantz MODEL 10 and the ARCAM SA45.

The Follow-Up:

We have reviewed quite a few DALI speakers here at SECRETS over the years. We even awarded the smaller EPIKORE 3’s the Best High-End Bookshelf Speaker Award for 2025.

I personally reviewed the DALI OPTICON 6 speakers in 2019 and found them effectual, though nowhere near as accomplished as the EPIKORE 7’s. Different leagues, to be sure. Be on the lookout for our full review to drop on the SECRETS website in the coming weeks.
