Floor Standing Speakers

Focal Aria EVO X N°3 & Aria EVO X Center Speaker – A Video Review.

As I’ve had the chance to review a wider variety of speakers, I have slowly started to prefer floor-standing speakers over their bookshelf counterparts.

Something about the extra drivers leads to better separation, more articulate bass, and a fuller sound overall. And depending on the size of the speakers the full range nature of them differs. This one, the Aria EVO X N°3 leans toward the near full range end of things.

The Aria Evo X N°3 is a 3-way loudspeaker with an elegant design and a modest footprint. It is perfect for both music and movie listening which is why I requested the matching center.

The N°3 is the middle sibling of 3 slim floor-standing speakers in the Aria EVO line-up and is available in 3 colors: Black gloss, Prime Walnut, and Moss Green Gloss. My sample arrived in the Green Moss Gloss. It’s a beautiful color that adorns the sides of the speaker. Interestingly, I used to drive a Kia Telluride which was stated to be Moss Green but was more dark Brown than anything. I’m glad to see Focal actually made a Green looking Green!
