Totem LOON Monitor Stand-mount Speakers – A Video Review

The LOONs are a nice compact offering from Totem.

I was told, in particular, to pay attention to the off-axis response of the Totem LOON. And the folks at Totem weren’t kidding, the sound field was quite large.

They state quite literally on their website that:

The LOON Monitor is forgiving in terms of placement and capable of remarkable sonic performance even when listening from over 45 degrees off-axis. Despite its compact cabinet, it offers a bass that is deep and tight, yet not exaggerated, with an excellent impact and decay.

The LOON Monitor is capable of producing full bandwidth sound even at low volumes, all the while offering astonishing imaging and scale of the music.

The Loon sounds great with all genres of music. It will feel perfectly at home in any space, including your computer desk.

This had me curious as I was of the mind that bigger speakers always sounded better than their smaller counterparts.
