Delivering deeper bass, greater dynamics and the most refined Real Cinema at Home experience yet

Krix MX-30i modular front-wall system for dedicated home cinema

Adelaide, Australia – Thursday 11 December 2025

Krix, Australia’s leading cinema loudspeaker manufacturer, today announced the launch of three new modular front-wall systems for dedicated home cinemas. The MX-30i, MX-40i, and the upgraded MX-20 Mk2. Each system extends Krix’s Real Cinema at Home philosophy, delivering deeper low-frequencyperformance, improved clarity and installation flexibility for medium to large rooms.

While the left, centre and right speaker modules remain unchanged in both the MX-30i and MX40i, Krix have expanded on their award-winning engineering with new subwoofer designed for true infrasonic reproduction, extending performance beyond the audible range.

Key features include:

● New high-performance, 18-inch low frequency driver engineered, for realism you can feel.

● Reversible design with dual terminals, allowing subwoofer cabinets to be oriented up or down for maximum installation flexibility.

● Uniform height and slimline depth matching the original systems, enabling customers to upgrade to the new subwoofer modules.

MX-20 Mk2 — An upgrade to a Krix favourite

The MX-20 Mk2 delivers a significant performance lift over the original, featuring upgrades to both the left, centre, right and subwoofer modules.

Upgrades to left, centre and right speaker modules:

● A new 12-inch low-frequency driver replaces the Mk1’s 10-inch driver, supported by a larger 2.5-inch voice coil (previously 2-inch) for greater power handling and lower distortion.

● A Krix patented constant-directivity horn paired with a one-inch compression driver replaces the Mk1’s doped fabric dome tweeter and waveguide, delivering controlled dispersion, precise high-frequency detail and improved dynamics.

● Higher power handling for the left, centre and right modules, increased from 500 Watts to 700 Watts RMS recommended amplifier power.

Reversible subwoofer design

● A new dual-terminal configuration allows the subwoofer cabinet to be oriented up or down to suit the installation.

Driven by Australian engineering excellence

Across all systems, Krix continues its commitment to local manufacturing, precision engineering and cinema-grade performance. The MX-30i, MX-40i and MX-20 Mk2 are all designed to deliver sound directly through the picture, just as intended in commercial theatres, but expertly scaled to offer Real Cinema at Home.
