The 9.2 channel receiver features DTS-X and Dolby Atmos along with full 4K Ultra HD pass-through. Though the receiver on its own only powers 9 full channels, it still allows for full use of 11 independent channels with the use of an external amplifier.
The RX-A3070 was designed to take advantage of home networking as well. The smartphone/tablet app allows for complete control of the system. Also, many of the major music services are supported, including Spotify, Pandora, Napster, and SiriusXM to name a few.
As with previous models, DLNA networking support is also present which will allow you to make use of your networked music library. Bluetooth and Airplay are also included which makes it extremely easy to stream media directly from your mobile device.
