Ron Sutherland indulged me with a review sample of the now-famous Little Loco phono stage last fall, just as I was getting ready to move house.

I knew that I would have very little time for listening once the move got underway so I made sure to listen daily before the movers came. It wasn’t hard to do.

Unpacking my record collection and getting my old house ready for sale have been occupying my time since then so I’ve been putting off writing the review.. until now!

Who would have thunk that major innovations in record playback were still in store for us more than 100 years after the first flat disks were put up for sale? The current-based amplification of moving coil cartridges has been building slowly for a few years. It looks like the Little Loco will mark a turning point to wider adoption and popularity, with good reason. My review is coming soon.

Rick has been into audio ever since 9th grade when he commandeered a Pioneer receiver and Celestion speakers that his dad received in trade for a rusty station wagon. The stereo's original owner was forced into the deal by his newly pregnant wife. Hopefully that kid was re-exposed to hifi at a later date.
