The lens is super sharp with glass construction and generous shift & zoom for image sizes from 50 to 300 inches. Two HDMI 2.1 inputs, one with e/ARC, work with the latest source components and there’s even a 4K 120 Hz mode with low input lag for gaming. The LS9000 has it all for just $3,999.

The Follow-Up:

I’ve been reviewing Epson’s projectors for more than 10 years and I have yet to find one I didn’t enjoy watching and testing. They always deliver tremendous performance for the money and the LS9000 is no different. It’s a natural evolution of the Home Cinema and Pro Cinema displays I’ve seen before with its laser light source, glass optics, and advanced video processing. Epson’s pixel shift technology looks better than ever, and I defy anyone to tell it from a native 4K projector. Initial tests show it to be a reference-quality display, and I look forward to watching many movies and TV shows in the coming weeks.
