A few weeks ago, the Denon AVR-A10H receiver landed at my doorstep.

The AVR-A10H is technically the second-best receiver in Denon’s arsenal behind the AVR-A1H, but you’d never know it from the specs. The AVR-A10H is a 3-zone, 52-pound monster of a receiver that packs 13 channels of amplification within its steel and aluminum chassis. Even more impressive is that each of these amplifier channels is rated at 150 watts (@8ohm). With 7 HDMI 2.1 inputs, 3 HDMI outputs, and support for 4 independent subwoofers, the Denon AVR-A10H is ready to drive pretty much any home theater system. Audyssey MultEQ room correction is included, and there is the option to purchase Dirac Live (including Bass Control) if you want even greater tweakability. The receiver also supports Denon’s powerful HEOS multi-room streaming platform. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be giving the AVR-A10H a full workout with both movie and music sources in my 7.2.6 media room setup. Keep a watch on the Secrets of Home Theater and High-Fidelity web page for my full review of this incredibly capable piece of gear.
