The SA 45 is the current top of line integrated amplifier from ARCAM. This Swiss Army-knife like product is a very new release and I am among the first wave of reviewers to give it a run for its money.

It has built-in streaming and Apple Airplay, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, and Tidal Connect. The SA 45 will be “Roon Ready” with an upcoming firmware update. It also has Bluetooth with Snapdragon Sound and Auracast.

The SA 45 features a high-end DAC built-in: an ESS Hyperstream iV DAC which supports up to 32-bit/384kHz resolution. The front panel features a generous 8.8” full-color display. The amplifier is based on the venerable ARCAM Class G topology and delivers FTC-rated power output of 180 wpc into 8 Ohms. It even has a flexible MM/MC phono stage built in.

The ARCAM SA 45 is their top of line streaming integrated amplifier. Its 180 wpc power output is more than adequate for a wide array of systems.

As touched on above, it is extremely flexible with all the various streaming possibilities. More than that, though, is that it has six analog inputs that include MM and MC turntable inputs. It has six digital inputs as well as an eARC HDMI in. It also features dual subwoofer outputs and comes complete with DIRAC Live room correction.

It is a very stylish component with lovely and robust build quality. I really love the yellow accents.

I have been looking forward to reviewing another product from ARCAM. The last product of theirs I reviewed was all the way back in 2016 – the AVR 850 Surround Receiver: Arcam AVR850 Surround Receiver Review – HomeTheaterHifi.com

That receiver had Class G amps, and it impressed me so much that I decided to purchase the matching processor for my main surround system.

The SA 45 Streaming Integrated Amplifier I am working with now really sounded amazing at the 2025 AXPONA event in Chicago and this has got my excitement sky high.
