The Prophecy5 is a speaker with pro studio heritage designed to fit into a domestic living area. The advanced drivers, crossovers, and transmission line components are built into an attractive wood-grained enclosure. This enclosure has a small footprint for a floor-standing speaker. No larger than that of a small bookshelf speaker on a stand, it would occupy a small space in any room.
Although perhaps not as well known here in the United States, the PMC company (Professional Monitor Company Ltd.) is well regarded in England and Europe. PMC got its start in the pro field producing state-of-the-art studio monitors. Its domestic home line shares a pro heritage with a design that is more suited for home use.

While unboxing the pair of PMC Prophecy 5 I was struck by how nice and finished they looked. The wood grain looked beautiful on my sample. Overall, I think they are handsome-looking speakers. A quick listen revealed a very musical and detailed sound. I would say that these speakers are very promising from my first listen. PMC products have been the subject of several articles and reviews by the Secrets of Home Theater and High-Fidelity team in the recent past:
