Oxford, United Kingdom — October 17, 2024 — The long-anticipated Oneiros Project will take a giant leap forward when the first loudspeaker from the new high-end Oneiros brand is launched at a press event in New York City on December 5, with market availability scheduled for early Q1 ’25.
Oneiros is a three-way floorstanding speaker with an aesthetically appealing design that belies the exceptional sonic characteristics of the product.
“It’s a thrill to see my dream project come to life,” says Jerry Bloomfield, CEO of Falcon Acoustics and Oneiros Audio. “Oneiros is the synthesis of aesthetics and technology, and the results of an innovative process that allows us to use composite technologies that in turn produce immersive sonics from a sculptured organic shape.”
Mr. Bloomfield and his design team turned to Generative Design to create new concepts that translate into real-world products. Using a Natural Language Generative Design enquiry, multiple images were generated from a single prompt. Ultimately, three concept designs were chosen for further analysis, with one chosen for its organic shape and the best potential development prospects for both impeccable sonics and design aesthetics.
The basic image was converted into a 3D model capable of production while retaining the organic aesthetic and precision design detailing that is an important element of the Oneiros project. After more 100 hours of CAD and development design time, the primary design finally emerged.

“We are uniquely fortunate to be based in the center of Motorsport Valley®, the world-famous home of Formula 1 racing teams, and the premier automotive technology development area in the UK,” says Mr. Bloomfield. “This gives us access to companies with exceptional engineering technologies, material science knowledge and fabrication skills far in excess of those normally available to loudspeaker manufacturers.”
In parallel with the CAD design work, a Tier 1 company specializing in F1 Finite Element Analysis examined cabinet resonances and acoustic properties. The organic shape of the cabinet robustly stood up to this testing, informed what damping will be needed, and confirmed that the cabinet shape and construction systems identical to that used in F1 cars would be viable.
Adds Mr. Bloomfield: “In many ways, I feel that both my professional and creative pursuits have been leading to this moment since I first entered the business. It’s beyond gratifying to see the Oneiros Project nearing completion.”
The Oneiros Project will debut at an invitation-only event at the Power Station in New York City on December 5, 2024.

From Concept to Completion
Oneiros is built using the same monocoque carbon-fiber pre-preg sandwich system as the body of an F1 car.
Stage 1: The dimensioned CAD design is broken down into individual parts that are made into primary patterning molds in polyurethane tooling block. These are precision pattern-machined by sealed-chamber five-axis CNC cutters that stand approximately 15’ H.
Stage 2: Primary patterning molds are finished and sealed. Multiple layers of release agents are applied.
Stage 3: Primary molds are formed from the production molds that will be used to manufacture the cabinet component parts. The primary patterning molds are now stored.
Stage 4: Cabinets are now assembled and bonded by a Tier 1 composite fabricator normally making F1 parts using various density sandwich core Quasi Isotropic lay-up systems observing strict client confidentiality.
Stage 5: Cabinet finishing and metal-work detailing are undertaken by a local finishing company normally working for prestige automotive manufacturers such as Rolls Royce, Bentley, Bugatti, McLaren, Aston Martin, Hennessey and other ultra-high-end brands in the luxury market. Production of profiled aluminum front baffle (1,220 Lbs solid aluminum billet 5-axis CNC system machined down to 48 Lbs) and matching profiled foot plate. (125 lbs. solid aluminum billet 5- axis CNC system machined down to 46 lbs.)
Stage 6: Cabinets are delivered to Oneiros for completion.
