In 1994, John launched the SECRETS Primer and the original SECRETS website, while also attending the convention circuits, including CES and CEDIA.

2000, a new century! The SECRETS brand became well-established. SECRETS showcased at CES with a booth, a team of 12, and branded swag. In addition, SECRETS gained visibility through JJ’s appearances on Tech TV.

The creation of the SECRETS DVD Benchmark set the standard in the industry, alongside the introduction of the Best of Awards.

Entering the next decade, 2010, SECRETS further solidified its presence with the creation of The Vault to preserve all product reviews and technical articles and embraced social media to connect with enthusiasts globally. A dedicated newsletter further enhanced its reputation as a go-to source for hi-fi and home theater expertise.

The team expanded with the naming of four Co-Editors, and show coverage extended internationally to events including the High-end Munich Show.
