This is a one-speaker solution that is more lifestyle than hi-fi, and I think that’s a good thing. Honestly, more of these products need to exist, and this one sets up quite a benchmark.

Marantz Horizon Wireless Speaker Powered by HEOS™

This is one of two Marantz Horizon Products. This one is just called the Horizon, and then there is the bigger Grand Horizon. This one retails for $3500.00 USD. The Grand Horizon retails for $5500.00 USD. Marantz also sent over the bespoke tripod stand. The stand will set you back another $700.00 USD.

The Horizon packs in three 2-inch midrange drivers, in a triangular configuration, one up top and two pointing diagonally down. It has two 1-inch high-frequency drivers on each side, and in the dead center is their 6.5-inch “Gravity” (bass) driver.

Marantz Grand Horizon and Horizon Wireless Speakers Powered by HEOS™

The Horizon is equipped with 310 watts of built-in amplification. It features the Marantz Rise™ Amplifier technology, which uses a GaN FET Class-D design. The Marantz Gravity™ Drivers use neodymium magnets to ensure powerful, distortion-free sound.

Marantz also gave it something called the Mirage DSP engine. This allows you a variety of ways to tune the Horizon’s sound to your taste. You have the ability to adjust the Spaciousness, Warmth, and Clarity. It has a Pure mode and then a Sound Master mode. All of which can be controlled via the HEOS app.
