Reference 500 Series CD transport has been meticulously enhanced to deliver even greater sound quality.

TEAC PD-507T CD Transport Silver Finish

Tokyo, Japan (September 18, 2025) — TEAC is pleased to announce the PD-507T, a next-generation CD transport that expands the capabilities of its acclaimed Reference 500 Series. Featuring TEAC’s proprietary high-quality CD mechanism, the PD-507T is the perfect companion to external DACs and a wide range of digital audio systems that require uncompromising reference-grade CD playback.

Proven Transport Technology

The PD-507T uses TEAC‘s in-house manufactured CD transport mechanism. By specializing in pristine digital output without a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) it enables ultra-clean CD playback through various audio systems equipped with digital inputs, including Reference 500 Series USB DAC models. It is particularly compatible with TEAC’s recently released UD-507, a discrete DAC, preamplifier, and headphone amplifier.

The basic CD transport mechanism is the TEAC CD-5020A, which has a long-standing track record of success in broadcast applications. By combining this rugged and highly reliable mechanism with a semi-floating mounting structure and a specially designed drive circuit, the PD-507T achieves a markedly more refined audio experience.

Enhanced Features and Connectivity

The new PD-507T has a new feature that allows users to turn off unused digital outputs. Separate power supplies have been implemented for each clock and digital output. Additionally, the electrical circuitry and mechanical construction have been fine-tuned to deliver an even higher level of sound quality than previous models.

The PD-507T also offers connectivity with the CG-10M-X master clock generator to enhance sound quality with an external 10MHz clock. The UD-507 features a new amber-colored full-dot OLED display and control terminals, which improves system usability when used alongside other Reference 500 Series components.
