Monster Cable Presents Tower of Power 40th Anniversary Concert at The Fillmore in San Francisco

— October 18 Concert to Celebrate Anniversaries of Two Bay Area Icons; Tower of Power’s 40th and Monster Cable’s 30th! —

Brisbane, CA, Oct. 15, 2008 – Monster Cable, the world’s leading manufacturer of high-end cables and AV accessories, is proud to announce that on October 18, 2008 it will sponsor a gala 40th anniversary concert for iconic Bay Area band Tower of Power at legendary San Francisco venue The Fillmore. The sold-out concert, which will be shot for DVD in High Definition video and 5.1-channel surround sound, will be released under the Monster Music banner to help the company celebrate its own 30th Anniversary in 2009.

Tower of Power founding member, lead vocalist and saxophonist Emilio Castillo, noted: “Congratulations to Monster Cable for 30 years of excellence! A Triumphant Reunion of Current and Past TOP Performers!
In addition to Castillo and fellow founding member Stephen (Doc) Kupka, current members of Tower of Power scheduled to perform include Francis Rocco Prestia, David Garabaldi, Larry Braggs, Roger Smith, Tom E. Poltzer, Adolpho Acosta, Michael (Iron Mike) Bogart and Mark Harper. Also performing with Tower of Power on the 18th will be Sam Moore of Sam and Dave fame, as well as the following ex-Tower of Power band members: Chester Thompson, Herman Mathews Jeff Tamilier, Carmen Grillo, Ron E. Beck, Richard Elliott, Lee Thronburg, Ellis Hall, Russ McKinnon, Bill Churchville, Greg Adams, Nick Milo,Vito San Fillippo, Dave Mathews, Mark Russo, Jody Lopez, Skip Mesquite, and Rufus Miller.
