MartinLogan Introduces Two New Soundbars: Cadence and Verse

MartinLogan’s newest soundbars deliver stunning sound, versatile installation options, and room correction technology.

Dallas, Texas – CEDIA 2016 – September 15, 2016 – SR-2 – MartinLogan proudly announces two new additions to their award-winning line of powered soundbars—Cadence and Verse. These performance soundbars deliver richly detailed multi-channel sound using a variety of advanced technologies and wireless streaming capabilities.

Measuring 46-inches wide, Cadence and Verse perfectly complement 50-inch and larger flat screen televisions. Designed to maximize installation flexibility, these soundbars feature a 3.5-inch low-profile design ideal for placement on a table top. Additionally, the adaptable design allows the soundbars to mount on a wall either above or below a television, measuring only 3.9-inches deep when installed. Each installation option comes with its own unique DSP settings that customize sound output for maximum performance in each configuration.

Nine full-range drivers and nine-channels of amplification, with a combined total output of 135 watts (270 watts peak), deliver exceptionally deep yet well-balanced bass and immersive home theater surround sound in a simple and easy to operate system. Advanced digital signal processing (DSP) technology and industry leading Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Surround decoding allowed MartinLogan to replace six separate home theater speakers and subwoofer with a one piece solution that reproduces multi-channel recordings with unflinching accuracy, resolution and detail—the inspiration behind every MartinLogan design.

The unique driver configuration featured in Cadence and Verse implements nine 2.5-inch full-range drivers positioned at specific angles that allow the soundbars to deliver discrete left, right, center, and simulated surround channel reproduction throughout a room with rich levels of detail and a wide, expansive soundstage. As frequencies delve into the lowest registers necessary for a palpable bass performance, all nine drivers work in unison to create a powerful and accurate low end.

Performance is further enhanced by exclusive Anthem Room Correction (ARC™) technology – included with both Cadence and Verse. ARC technology is the industry’s best user-controlled DSP room tuning solution. Using advanced DSP software and a calibrated microphone, it instantly tunes speaker performance to compensate for your room’s unique characteristics, ensuring perfect sound in any listening space. Anthem’s new ARC Mobile platform will make room correction even easier with the ability to run ARC from iOS devices.

Robust connectivity options include Bluetooth, digital Toslink, and analog left/right RCA, as well as support for external subwoofers. Bass aficionados who desire the deepest bass experience can connect an external subwoofer using a wired connection or wirelessly using the built-in SWT-SB transmitter and subwoofer wireless receiver (included).

Cadence adds a premium feature set that includes an array of HDMI input and output options, as well as DTS® Play-Fi® wireless streaming functionality. With the inclusion of DTS Play-Fi, listeners can take advantage of endless choices, from their own music libraries to online music streaming services. And they can stream their music from any device—Android, iOS, or PC.
