LWC Introduces Direct Burial Cables, Ideal Solutions for Outdoor Applications

The Direct Burial products include varieties of Category, Coax, Speaker and LibertyLinx Control cable. All can be installed directly in the earth without underground conduits. They deliver exceptional performance under the toughest conditions at runs up to 1,000 feet, and are UV-rated for sunlight resistance.

“Our direct burial cables are designed for outdoor application, and provide flawless performance even in the harshest environments,” said John Dace, Liberty Vice President of Sales.

Liberty’s Direct Burial Category cable includes CAT5E, a 24 AWG variety with a solid copper center conductor and a 1,000 Megabit data rate. Liberty’s Coax line is ideal for cable, broadband and satellite use. It includes several 14 and 18 AWG CATV/MATV cables with solid copper or copper-clad steel center conductors. The non-plenum, unshielded cables are gel-filled and feature foamed polyethylene dielectrics and polyethylene jackets. They’re UL-listed and work perfectly with Liberty’s extensive ConnecTec system of connectors.

Liberty’s Direct Burial Speaker cable includes several 12 to 16 AWG non-plenum varieties designed for outdoor applications, and are also UL-rated for indoor use. Their durable PVC jackets and SR-PVC insulation provide long-term protection from underground moisture.

LibertyLinx Control cable for Direct Burial includes 18 and 22 AWG varieties with solid copper center conductors. They’re easy to work with and ideal for running to guest houses and pool areas, and for Crestron and AMX-style applications.
