Their unique theater, originally built with uneven concrete walls for aesthetic reasons, presented serious acoustic challenges. However, with the help of Nemesis Acoustics, the room was retrofitted with proprietary audiodynamic passive transducer wall panels. This new technology utilizes damped sympathetic resonance to mitigate standing waves and room modes. Despite the SB17-Ultra R|Evolution subwoofer’s low frequency extension rating to 15Hz, the filmmakers documented in-room response extending below 5Hz, thanks in part to precise positioning, room tuning, and the innovative acoustic treatments.
