Introducing the Marantz AV 30 and AMP 30 – expanding Marantz’s portfolio of reference-quality home theater components

January 13, 2026: Marantz, one of the most revered names in high-end audio for over 70 years, is proud to announce the newest additions to its ever-growing portfolio of reference-quality home theater components: the AV 30 11.4-channel AV Preamplifier and AMP 30 Power Amplifier.

As with the AV 10 / AMP 10 and the AV 20 / AMP 20, the new AV 30 and AMP 30 are both exceptionally capable and supremely flexible home theater components. They can be seamlessly combined with other Marantz products to address the broadest possible variety of different system configurations and performance requirements.

Of course, all aspects of their sound quality have been carefully honed by the Marantz Sound Master to ensure the best possible results with all source components and in all audio modes. Both products are proudly designed and manufactured at Marantz’s renowned factory, the Shirakawa Audio Works, in Japan.

Elegant, modern design

AV 30 and AMP 30 incorporate the latest generation of Marantz’s iconic porthole display, combined with the brand’s luxurious industrial design language. The elegant fascia plates on both models feature selectable side illumination, with a fold-down front panel on the AV 30 to conceal all less-used functions when not in use, creating a clean aesthetic not typically associated with AV components. Even the remote control has been carefully considered and features backlighting to ensure an effortless user experience in darkened rooms.

State-of-the-art processing, comprehensive features

The new AV 30 deploys the latest and most powerful Analog Devices SHARC dual-core DSP chipset coupled to high-quality 32-bit DACs.

The result is a powerful digital platform able to precisely decode and accurately process all forms of incoming audio, from high-resolution stereo to the latest forms of immersive sound, including Dolby Atmos™, IMAX Enhanced™, DTS:X™ and AURO-3D™.

To ensure the best possible results with a broad range of speakers in various listening environments, AV 30 combines that powerful processing capability with Audyssey MultEQ XT32 advanced room optimization, based on automatic calibration of speaker sizes, speaker distances, level adjustment and more, all enabled by an included microphone.

AV 30 also features optionally available Dirac Live, Dirac Bass Control and Dirac Active Room Treatment (ART), allowing for a fully optimized listening experience with multiple speakers and up to four independent subwoofers.

Flexible, powerful, smart

AV 30 can scale to meet an extensive range of system configurations now and in the future. Each of its seven HDMI inputs can support up to 8K/60Hz or 4K/120Hz video, while its high-resolution user interface makes setup and customization seamless.

Multiple analog and digital inputs, coupled to an extensive range of custom-installation-optimized features, means AV 30 can be adapted to suit numerous customer use cases from intimate media rooms through to dedicated and substantial home theaters. The discrete HDAM SA-2 preamplifier stage feeds up to 11.4 channels via RCA or XLR outputs, ensuring ample flexibility over system configurations.

Naturally, AV 30 is also Powered By HEOS^®, giving effortless access to a broad range of streaming service content, all integrated into one unified user experience. Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2™ and Bluetooth all complement HEOS to simplify access to streaming services and mobile devices.

Clean, low-distortion power

AMP 30, meanwhile, is both powerful and versatile enough to suit multiple different system configurations.

AMP 30 is configured as a slimline, cool-running 6-channel power amplifier with 200 watts per channel (8ohms, 1kHz, THD 0.05 % at two channel driven), which is sufficient to drive multiple different speaker configurations and speaker layouts with ease. It also provides the option of reconfiguring pairs of 200W amp channels into bridged-tied-load (BTL) outputs, with up to a maximum of three channels of 400W available if the chosen speaker system requires it. Alternatively, users can opt to bi-amp up to three speakers. Naturally, both XLR and RCA inputs are included.

AMP 30 is also a perfect partner for other Marantz components – for example, as a powerful performance upgrade for the front three speakers in a system based on a CINEMA 30 AVR, or as a complement to an existing AV 10 or AV 20-based system. In the same way, AV 30 buyers can easily partner the AMP 30 with either the 16-channel AMP 10 or the 12-channel AMP 20 as is required, giving massive power and excellent speaker-to-speaker integration in large-scale home theater systems.
