Small Form, Serious Sound

While L/R S may be the most compact speaker in the lineup, its performance tells a very different story. Engineered to confidently outperform its footprint, it delivers 100W of optimised Class D system power – 50W per speaker, with 25W dedicated to each driver to provide clarity, precision, and unexpected low-end presence for its size.

At its core is a 21mm hard-dome tweeter, chosen for its accuracy and ability to reproduce crisp detail without fatigue. A custom waveguide and phase cap increases dispersion to widen the listening sweet spot. This works in harmony with a high-excursion 3-inch woofer, designed to move more air than typical compact drivers to deliver articulate bass and clean, expressive vocals.

A rear bass reflex slot port enhances low-frequency performance while maintaining a compact cabinet size. Carefully tuned to ensure smooth airflow and minimal distortion, it helps create a balanced, confident soundstage that remains engaging at close listening distances and beyond.

Supporting this is Cambridge’s DynamEQ technology. This intelligent optimisation subtly adjusts the speaker’s bass and treble as volume changes, ensuring music retains its detail, warmth and natural balance, whether listening quietly late at night or turning things up during the day.

Instant and Effortless Connection

Designed for the rhythm of everyday life, L/R S makes listening instant and effortless. Bluetooth aptX HD allows high-quality wireless streaming straight from phones, tablets and laptops, with no apps or setup required.

For physical sources, analogue line in, TOSLINK optical input, and USB Audio provide flexible wired connectivity for TVs, computers, streamers and more. A smooth and responsive Bluetooth LE remote is also included for effortless control from across the room, offering direct input selection and EQ presets to always deliver the optimal performance.

A placement-optimisation control on the rear panel allows listeners to get the best sound to suit their space, while a subwoofer output makes expanding into a 2.1 system simple and seamless.
