V, INC. SHIPS NEW BRAVO DVD PLAYER AND HD TUNER

• New BRAVO D2 updates award-winning BRAVO D1
• BRAVO HD1 designed to receive terrestrial HDTV and SDTV

COSTA MESA, CA. — May 11, 2004 — V, Inc., one of the industry’s fastest growing makers of consumer digital display products, today announced the launch of its new BRAVO D2 DVD scaling DVI media player and BRAVO HD1 High-Definition receiver.

The BRAVO D2 is an update from the multi-award-winning BRAVO D1 which made its entrance last year as the first DVD player to ship with scaled DVI output and MPEG-4 playback. The BRAVO D2’s DVI output offers a direct digital video signal from DVD straight to display, bypassing analog conversion. The result is a pure picture — free from traditional digital-to-analog (D/A) conversion artifacts. The BRAVO D2’s scaler will output video in DVI or component video formats in HD resolutions of 480p, 1080i*, and 720p* as well as advanced DVI custom settings.

The BRAVO D2 updates the D1 with control of DVI color, brightness and contrast levels, improved analog video output and integrated screen saver functionality to help protect the long term performance of today’s flat panel displays. A new remote control and redesigned titanium silver-finished enclosure complete the product’s upgrade.

Additional BRAVO D2 features include Picture ZOOM 1 & 2, MPEG-4, JPEG, DVD-R/+R CD, CD-R/RW, and Kodak Picture CD playback as well as PCM, DTS and Dolby® Digital audio pass-through on Toslink or coaxial digital outputs.

To further expand on the BRAVO product line launches, V, Inc. announced the introduction of the BRAVO HD1 TV receiver. Designed to receive programming from both HD (MPEG-2, ATSC) and SD (NTSC) terrestrial TV channels, the BRAVO HD1 High-Definition receiver provides an affordable way to enjoy free-to-air (FTA) high definition content. Additionally, the BRAVO HD1 offers an auxiliary A/V input that provides PIP mode on any TV. With an easy-to-use electronic program guide menu, and the capability to store up to 1,500 digital channels, the sleek BRAVO HD1 is designed to complement any home entertainment system.

Additionally, the BRAVO HD1 supports output resolutions of 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i and selectable configurations for widescreen 16:9 and standard 4:3 displays. Outputs include component video Y/Pb/Pr, composite video (RCA) and S-Video, analog audio L/R (RCA) and coaxial digital audio (S/PDIF on RCA).

Now in its second year, V, Inc. adds both new units to its critically acclaimed home entertainment line. Available in the V, Inc. titanium-silver finish, the BRAVO D2 and BRAVO HD1 are currently available at a suggested retail price of $249.99 and $349.99, respectively.
