Half a century ago Marantz products started to become the gold standard for the relatively new (for that time) receiver category. Well built, and offering superior performance, the Marantz receivers of yesterday have become legendary. Now comes a new offering from the Marantz marque that seems to have the right stuff. The Marantz NR 1200 has built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, Smart TV connectivity, phono pre-amp, and packs 75 watts per channel. The performance was paramount with the old Marantz receivers; will this new receiver live up to the lofty standards set by its predecessors? I will let you know what I discover.
