Introduction

In October 2024, I was invited to Japan to visit three very unique and storied Japanese audio brands. Through this visit, I was especially interested to get a peek at what goes on behind the curtain. My goal was to get a sense of each company’s story and, hopefully, bring some of that to you. I hope you enjoy these videos.

As a first-time visitor, Japan leaves an indelible impression on both the mind and the soul. It’s a quietly overwhelming place. Everything here is done with an intention and a purpose. Even in regular daily life, the mindset is that even the smallest details are labored over and refined until no better result is possible. That sort of obsession with quality is what so appealed to me about Japanese HiFi when I was growing up.

I’m happy to see that this way of being is still alive and well, in grand fashion, as I make the 2nd stop during my visit to Japan.
