At $130 but sometimes found on sale for $109, it’s a very affordable little amp. Having a built-in VU meter is uncommon at this price point but gaining popularity with similar brands found on Amazon. So, is it worth your cash? Let’s find out!

Everything seems solid so no complaints there. The power supply is a monster, nearly as large as the A08 itself. The case is solid aluminum, and the controls have a quality feel. My only issue is with the volume knob, it doesn’t have a zero volume, just very low and then the off switch. The volume ramp-up is nice but quick. There isn’t a lot of play in the knob which is a good thing. The VU meter is nice and actually works as it should. There is a subtle blue glow from the volume knob as well, it’s overall a well-designed component.

Power claims are a bit wild on this, 300 watts? But the power supply that is included is only rated for up to just over 200 watts. You can upgrade the power supply if you wish. I think realistically it’s pushing closer to 50-80 watts if I had to guess. After listening to a few tracks, it actually reminds me of the Fosi V3, with its fantastic lower-end presence. I can feel the bass coming alive as I listen. Highs and mids are not bad at all but also not anything special. For the price, it fits right in with the competition and delivers an excellent bang for the buck. I will say if you’re looking to upgrade from a lower-power Class D amp, the A08 Pro is a great choice.

On the front, there are EQ adjustments, bass, and treble, which are not uncommon. But I did find them a bit tricky to get set up exactly how I like it. Normally I just set them to 12 o’clock and adjust from there. It took a few tries to get it really dialed in, but at least the option to adjust is there. It’s got banging power for the low end, I just wish it had some more finesse in the top end.
Price is becoming less of an issue for getting good hi-fi these days. The A08 Pro Integrated Amplifier looks as good as it sounds and sounds as good as it looks. It has plenty of power available, and for desktop use, it doesn’t disappoint.
If you’re looking for something on the warmer, sweeter side look elsewhere. But if you want a banging Class D amp with loads of power and strong bass, the A08 Pro is a fantastic choice. For the money, it’s hard to really say anything isn’t up to par. It’s an excellent value with excellent sound. Aiyima is a brand to be on the lookout for when searching for affordable hi-fi.
