Shanling’s Audiophile-grade CT90 CD Transport Now Available in the U.S.

Montreal, Quebec, January 20, 2026 – Forte Distribution, a leading distributor of audio and audiophile music products, announced today that the Shanling CT90 CD transport is available in the U.S.

The CT90 CD Transport (SRP: $999) is a step-up from Shanling’s acclaimed ET3 transport, introducing a new, advanced digital architecture, additional digital output options, and a modern Hi-Fi design aesthetic inspired by another Shanling model, the SCD3.3 SACD player.

Similar to the SCD3.3, the new CT90 CD Transport is notable for its top-loading mechanism, and is engineered for higher-end audio systems than its lower end sibling, the ET3. The SAA7824 servo chip is considered an industry standard, decoding discs and helping to control the reading of audio data with a filterless digital-to-analog converter (DAC) and integrated pre-amplifier for audiophile-grade output.

The CT90 exclusively features digital outputs — USB x 2, respectively for playback of high-resolution files stored on a USB drive via the Eddict app, and an input for direct access to a digital USB interface for computers; I2S; and both coaxial and optical SPDIF/AES. (I2S and SPDIF/AES inputs feature dedicated upsampling circuits.)

The CT90 handles standard CD formats, including CD-R and CD-RW playback, as well as MQA-CD and Bluetooth (LDAC, aptX HD, aptX, and AAC).
