Stereostone's New Fountain Speaker Now Shipping

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Aug. 28, 2008 — StereoStone, Inc. (stereostone.com), a leader in American-made architectural outdoor weatherproof speakers, is proud to announce that its new Fountain Speaker is now shipping. StereoStone will also feature the working water fountain at the 2008 CEDIA Expo, held in Denver from Sept. 4-7 at the Colorado Convention Center, booth 223. With a MSRP of $599.95, StereoStone’s Fountain Speaker is a high-performance 250 Watt audio system.

“We launched the new Fountain Speaker at the 2008 Spring EH Expo to rave reviews,” explained Alan Rottner, vice president of sales & marketing for StereoStone. “Dealers and customers are looking for additional alternatives for high quality outdoor landscape audio systems and the Fountain Speaker is a welcome addition to our line-up of high fidelity rocks, planters, and tree stumps. StereoStone’s working water fountain encloses a single, high-performance 250 Watt, 8-inch dual voice coil speaker (mono loudspeaker can be substituted upon request) that is the perfect complement for patios, gardens, and porches where other rock-type landscape speakers would not be aesthetically practical.”

The Fountain Speaker has a wrought iron-look enclosed cage that acts like a stand with a bird bath-type bowl for collecting the running water underneath a center that resembles a leafed pineapple. The water runs up and then over and down the petals of the pineapple leaves and into the collecting bowl at the bottom. For evening viewing, the Fountain Speaker also includes submersible low-voltage lighting.

“The Fountain Speaker is bass-ported and comes standard with an 8-inch, 250w driver with bridge mounted left and right tweeters,” Rottner continued. “An immediately available option is a direct 250w 2-way mono speaker and, to follow at a later date, dual 8-inch loudspeakers for omni-directional sound dispersion. Like all StereoStone speakers, the Fountain Speaker is triple protected from outdoor elements, including protection from insects, rain, snow, and ice, as well as from the sun’s ultraviolet rays.”

The Fountain Speaker ships completely assembled in a single box so that only the speaker cables need be attached. The pump and lighting are to be plugged into standard 120v outlets.
