MoFi Electronics introduces the Must‐Have Accessory for All Turntable Owners

MoFi Electronics proudly announces the addition of the Super HeavyWeight record weight to theirproduct lineup. Best described as a “super noise killer”, it is intended for use with all makes ofturntables – not just MoFi Electronics models.

The Super HeavyWeight was conceived with the assistance of MoFi Electronics’ good friend, Mike Latvis, of Harmonic Resolution Systems (HRS). The device uses a proprietary HRS polymer material, reknowned for its exceptional noise absorption characteristics and an internal decoupled mass damping system all enclosed a non magnetic aluminum housing. In addition to coupling the record to the platter, the Super HeavyWeight significntly reduces noise – specifically, record groove noise, platter, and bearing noise. Listeners will hear more music due to resultant blacker backgrounds, increased inner detail, improved clarity, enhanced microdynamics, and greater bass impact.

  • I tried one of these on a MoFi Ultradeck last week. The differences were immediately apparent. There was an definite improvement in bass weight, definition and pitch. The depth of the soundstage was improved and there was a feeling of greater ease and space to the sound. Definitely worth the cost.

    • Interesting. A number of higher end turntables have custom made record clamps or weights that are exclusive to them. Nice to see a product like this that is usable for turntables that aren't so blessed. I may have to check one out. Thanks for sharing your impressions.

      • Yes, there are many that I have tried over the years, and on my other turntable (a Sota Cosmos) I use the Sota locking clamp. It is more expensive than the Mo-Fi one though.
