Daily Blog – John E. Johnson, Jr. – March 3, 2008: MY CAT IS NOW PART OF MY ANALYTICAL TEAM.

I wanted to let you all know I found out something really important. My cat is the best indicator of stereo surround in the rear channels that I have ever encountered.

Last night, while watching a DVD, my cat Teddy was sitting on the couch back, in between the two surround speakers.

As the soundtrack progressed, and some action occurred, I looked at him, and his ears were spinning around to the sides, but the two ears were not exactly in the same position.

This indicated to me that he was really noticing some great sound effects in the rear, and that they were stereo, not mono.

Just thought you would want to know.
