Sherwood showed their latest receivers, including the R-972. The receiver brings some highly anticipated features, such as HDMI 1.3 switching with scaling, a Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoder, and an RF remote control. Not only are the HDMI inputs 1.3 compliant, but there are a whopping six of them (this preproduction model only had four, but they plan to add two more before releasing the unit). All this for an MSRP of $1,499. Not bad at all.
