Page 9 - Moxi

Moxi had a nice booth in the South Hall with plenty of new features and hardware to show off. Their big announcement is that they will be adding a direct-to-retail product. The above photos are just some of the possible hardware designs (they haven't finalized it yet). One of the coolest features of this next generation Moxi box is that you will be able to stream HD content from one Moxi box to another in your home.

With the newest 4.1 software release for the existing Moxi boxes, you will be able to stream JPEG and MP3 files from your PC, add any off-the-shelf external hard drive for increased storage, and more. One of my favorite new features, however, is the ability to schedule recordings from the web, which you can see above. This will be available for both the retail and cable-operator-provided units. It's about time too, as TiVo and Windows Media Center both allow you to do this already.
