While looking at a horizontal gray ramp from
the AVIA Pro DVD with 720p input to the DVI jack, I found that lowering the
contrast setting from the default of 50 to 43 eliminated banding (or false
contouring) shown in that ramp. Along with the change in contrast, I made a
slight change to the red gain and bias to bring the colors more in line with
what my sensor was reporting compared to D65 and left the gamma at the
factory default. I then measured the following for Color Temperature, RGB
Levels, and Luminance, respectively:
