It was a happy day when a pallet containing two large boxes arrived on my doorstep. Having reviewed the Paradigm Monitor SE speaker system earlier this Summer, I was now in possession of the newest subwoofers from their Defiance Series, which has six models ranging from entry level all the way up the ladder to their top shelf sub.
The Legacy Foundation Subwoofer has dual 12” active drivers mated to a pair of 12” super long throw passive radiators. The sub is powered by an ICEpower® Class D amp that can pump out 30 amperes of current (1,000 watts power rating). The cabinet design is like a tower which maintains a small footprint.
