TailorMade™ Leather Frame Finish adds a Touch of Class

Screen Research adds new upholstered leather frame finish to its new TailorMade range of options.

Nantes, France – November 19, 2008– Screen Research is pleased to announce the immediate availability of its new range of TailorMade™ finish options. Shown at the recent CEDIA Expo 2008 in Denver, CO, Screen Research’s upholstered leather frame finish option has been developed in partnership with Nantes-based custom-finisher l’Atelier du Siège and legendary Parisian leather specialist, Tassin. Available to order in a range of 36 colors to match any room decor, the TailorMade leather finish is available as an option on all X-Mask™ screens (XLS, XTS, X4S, T-XLS, T-XTS, T-X4S) up to a maximum screen width of 160”.

Screen Research’s Founder and CEO, Yves Trélohan, comments, “It is exciting that we are able to work with local Nantes craftsmen and one of the World’s finest leather houses to offer this exclusive frame finish to our clients allowing them to add that personal touch to their screen.”

Each screen featuring a TailorMade finish will ship with a personalized care pack that matches the screen finish and includes a conditioner to keep the leather in top condition. The TailorMade leather finish is not simply a layer of leather applied to the screen frame, it features a generous layer of padding between the leather and the frame that gives a real furniture look and feel to the screen.

L’Atelier du Siège is based in Nantes and is a specialist in custom finishing for the automotive, marine and furniture sector. It is a product of the French Compagnons du devoir system which supports artisanal apprenticeships, ensuring the maintenance of traditional specialist craft skills for future generations.

Tassin was formed in 1905 and is based in the famous quarter of faubourg Saint-Antoine in Paris. This quarter, which forms the border of the 11th and 12th arrondissements, has been the home of artisans since the 15th century and is where the styles we now know as Louis XIV, XV and XVI were developed. Tassin is a major supplier to the bespoke upholstery industry as well as the automotive and marine trades.
