Panamax/Furman BlueBOLT™ Technology Receives Electronic House TOPS Award at CES 2010

PETALUMA, Calif. — Jan. 28, 2010 — Panamax/Furman today announced that its BlueBOLT™ technology was honored at CES 2010 with an Electronic House TOPS Award in the “Power Management, Conditioning & Backup” category. Offering unprecedented ease of use through a uniquely rich, modern graphical user interface, BlueBOLT provides secure, hosted IP (Internet Protocol) system control over compatible Panamax and Furman products.

The 2010 Electronic House TOPS Awards recognize the best technology, products, and services for the connected home. Winners were chosen by Electronic House editors, along with distinguished industry veterans and the magazine’s DIY correspondent.

CES is a time when manufacturers introduce their very latest and greatest products, so we are very proud that our BlueBOLT technology stood out and was honored with an Electronic House TOPS,” said Dave Keller, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Panamax/Furman. “With its unparalleled ease of use and elegant and robust interface, BlueBOLT has really taken IP control to the next level, allowing installers to provide their customers with immediate response to system issues.”

BlueBOLT allows individual outlets or outlet banks to be power-cycled from any Web browser or Web-enabled mobile device — drastically reducing service calls. With BlueBOLT, voltage and current consumption can be monitored in real time or tracked over a time period. E-mail notifications are sent when power anomalies are detected, allowing installers and end users to take immediate action in the event of a catastrophic surge, brownout, blackout, or other power event. The first BlueBOLT products are expected for release in Q1 2010.

At CES, Panamax’s PM8-GAV was also an Electronic House TOPS Award winner in the “Green Technologies & Devices” category.
