MOFI Distribution appointed North America distributor of Swiss loudspeaker manufacturer PIEGA

Chicago, IL, January 21, 2020 – MoFi Distribution, known for distributing some of the top brands in the Hi-Fi audio industry, announces a new distribution partnership with PIEGA Loudspeakers (Switzerland). The two companies expect to increase the awareness of Switzerland’s largest speaker brand in the US and Canada.

Founded in 1986, PIEGA has earned global acclaim for their amazing sound and unique designs. PIEGA sets itself apart from many other loudspeaker brands by incorporating proprietary ribbon driver technology along with aluminum cabinets. PIEGA has delivered over 100,000 pairs of speakers to customers worldwide and is investing in new technology including wireless speakers to fuel further growth.

The PIEGA lineup consists of six product lines; the flagship Master Line Source, Coax, Premium, Premium Wireless, TMicro AMT, and a range of custom install speakers. Prices begin at $1,295 / pair and go up to $250,000 / pair for the top-of-the-line Master Line Source.

The Master Line Source models are milestones in loudspeaker construction. After extensive research, calculations and many sleepless nights, we have been able to combine the worldwide uniqueness of our coaxial ribbon system into dipole speaker.

The Line Source ribbons are designed with a linear source. This enables several of these ribbon-systems to be cascaded in line vertically in the loudspeaker to form a genuine line source. The Line source drivers are also designed as dipoles, and thus enable a unique authenticity in the sound reproduction.

The Coax series, equipped with coaxial ribbon systems, plays every piece of music with incredible precision and speed. The simultaneous transmission of all high and mid-range frequencies provides a clear, natural and flawless sound pattern.

The high-end Coax series is beautifully sculpted. The portfolio includes the bookshelf Coax 311 loudspeaker, the slim column loudspeaker Coax 511, the column loudspeaker Coax 711, and the Coax Center 111

The PIEGA Premium Series delivers an inspiring sound experience. The secret lies in the combination of state-of-the-art chassis technology, our ribbon tweeter, and the aluminum cabinet. These three elements come together to give the Premium speakers a wonderful sound quality.

To refine the design, Swiss designer Stephan Hürlemann has fitted the front covers flush with the C-shaped cabinet profile, creating a formal harmony that fits perfectly into every room.

The Premium series includes a bookshelf speaker (Premium 301), two floor stand speakers (Premium 501 and 701), a Center Speaker (Premium Center).

PIEGA’s Premium Wireless Series consists of three wirelessly controllable active loudspeakers (Wireless versions of the Premium 301, 501, & 701) as well as the PIEGA connect, a module used for connecting existing HiFi components and for the wireless transmission of music signals to the loudspeakers. The signals are transmitted via a lossless digital wireless link, enabling music to be played via analogue and digital inputs, as well as via the integrated Bluetooth aptX module. In this way you can stream your favorite music directly from your smartphone, tablet or notebook.

The PIEGA TMicro series sees the first ever use of the new ribbon tweeter known as the AMT-1. This transducer combines the benefits of ribbon technology with the economic production of a dome tweeter. The aluminum cabinets in the TMicro series are exceptionally slim. Powerful, tight, and deep bass reproduction is safeguarded despite the compact dimensions.

The portfolio includes the bookshelf TMicro 40 AMT loudspeaker, the slim column loudspeaker TMicro 60 AMT, the TMicro Center AMT and the subwoofer TMicro SUB.

The MSL lineup consists of the Master Line Source, Master Line Source 2 & Master Line Source 3 floorstanding speakers.

Whether at home, in a restaurant or in a hotel – PIEGA’s compact loudspeakers provide the ideal addition for rooms in which there is not enough space for conventional loudspeakers.

These use the voids of a suspended ceiling or wall openings provided by the customer as the “cabinet volume” of the loudspeakers and are hardly noticeable after successful installation.
