Marten Announces New Parker Loudspeaker Series

Nesconset, NY — 9 June, 2020: VANA Ltd, North American importer and distributor of some of the world’s finest audio products, is pleased to announce Parker, a collection of loudspeakers that incorporate the most advanced technologies ever included in a Marten loudspeaker.

Originally intended as a replacement for Marten’s “Heritage” series, advances in driver technology, enclosure materials and crossover design demanded that Parker be an entirely new product range, rather than an upgrade of existing models.

Starting with Parker’s elegant, tapered cabinet, Marten’s proprietary M-Board — a laminate of different materials which mitigate each other’s resonances — produces an enclosure that is virtually vibration-free. Marten IsoPucks, designed by IsoAcoustics, further reduce resonance, enabling a room-filling soundstage while delivering more transparent, effortless sound and detailed, powerful bass. Improved hand-finishing techniques result in exquisite, lustrous cabinet aesthetics.

Marten loudspeakers have always utilized the finest drivers available, and this obsession with quality has reached its highest expression with Parker. Chief Designer Leif Olofsson has engineered a new generation of proprietary bass/mid drivers which are superior to any similar drivers currently available, at any price. In concert with Marten’s new enclosures and “Multi-Slope” crossover technology, these bespoke ceramic drivers offer the best performance possible. Leif’s use of passive radiators extends bass control and dynamics beyond what is achievable with active drivers alone.

Marten’s Parker series consists of three models. The Duo is a two-way, stand-mounted monitor outfitted with a tweeter, mid/bass driver and a rear-mounted passive radiator. The Trio is a 2.5-way tower with two mid/bass drivers and two passive radiators. Finally, the awesome Quintet deploys four mid/bass drivers and, at the rear, an equivalent number of passive radiators. Each model is also available as a “Diamond Edition” which adds a pure diamond tweeter, higher-end crossover components, improved cable terminals and top-of-the-range Jorma Statement internal cabling.
