Seoul, South Korea, October 8, 2020 – HiFi Rose, the audio company that brings audiophile-grade performance to products designed to complement consumers’ lifestyles, today announced that its acclaimed RS201E HiFi Network Media Player is available for purchase in the U.S.
Designed for both avowed audiophiles and casual yet demanding listeners, the RS201E (SRP: $1,799.99) is an advanced audio/video streaming solution with an integrated two-channel amplifier (100w x 2). The RS201E gives users access to digital audio and video from multiple sources, including USB flash storage and hard drives, media players with digital optical outputs, WiFi, and Ethernet connections. (Roon®-ready certification is pending.)
Though its design is the epitome of simplicity, the RS 201E is a high-fidelity 4K integrated streaming media system with top-shelf components for audio and video resolution that ranks with the most competitive models costing hundreds more.
“Too often, music lovers are forced to choose between high-fidelity sonics and industrial design that complements décor rather than sticking out like a sore thumb,” said Sean Kim, General Director, HiFi Rose. “My goal with the RS201E was to prove that exceptional performance and design aesthetics are not mutually exclusive. This model is designed to bring full-range, high-fidelity audio to music and movie fans who demand a system that is easy to set up, use, and enjoy.”
The RS201E features numerous onboard apps, including podcasts and radio from across the globe via familiar services, e.g., YouTube and TIDAL. Listeners with subscriptions to TIDAL will, with the RS201E, enjoy the full musical spectrum of high-definition audio without compromise. Music, video, and podcasts are controlled either by the 8.8” touchscreen or one convenient, intuitive app: Rose Connect.
Also, there is a CD ripping function that makes it easy for users to quickly rip and save audio files to SSD, USB HDD, or Micro SD.
True audiophile-grade sonics are presented with an emphasis on neutrality and a wide, natural soundstage. The RS201E features onboard support for high-resolution files up to PCM 32bit-384kHz and DSD 32bit-11.2MHz. Full range, dynamic output is achieved with a reference-grade 32-bit high-performance DAC.
MQA (Master Quality Authenticated) files are welcome, too, delivering the sound of the original master recording, surpassing even FLAC and ALAC format files.
As the center of a two-channel theater system, the RS201E makes it easy for movie fans to access films stored on flash and hard drives, as well as NAS and other shared network drives, up to 4K x 2K @60 frames per second. The RS 201E supports DLNA and Airplay in network.
The RS201E showcases an industrial design that is compact, sleek, and easily blends with any décor, whether it is situated in a rack system, on a shelf, a desktop, or countertop. Measuring 10.95” W x 7.95” D x 3” H is easy to place wherever it fits best in the room.
Added Mr. Kim: “We are thrilled to make our entry into the U.S. market with a model that answers the needs of anybody who loves to hear music the way it is meant to be heard – true to the artist’s intent.”
