Bluesound Wireless Multi-Room Music System Now Control4® Certified

Bluesound brings a complete, affordable, multi-room audio solution to the Control4® community.

Pickering, Ontario, Canada October 8, 2015 — BLUESOUND, the first wireless digital multi-room music system to fully support high-resolution audio, today announced their entire line-up of multi-room wireless streaming digital music players are now Control4® certified. All Bluesound Players have passed interoperability tests to ensure BluOS-enabled products integrate seamlessly with Control4® home automation systems. BluOS™ functions and controls can now be operated through Control4’s Media Service Proxy (MSP) protocol from any of Control4’s control interfaces including Touch Screens, SR-250 and SR-260 Remote Controls, wireless keypads and mobile devices using the Control4 app. Feedback includes rich metadata support for the Touch Screens and Remotes showing artist and song with full color album cover art.

The new drivers, available in Control4’s Online Driver Database, will allow custom integrators and retailers to offer intuitive, innovative music experiences, and custom control applications that integrate with Bluesound’s proprietary BluOS™ operating system. Other BluOS™ enabled products from sister brands, NAD Electronics and PSB Speakers, will also be certified as they become available.
