Phoenix Gold 12-Channel Power Amplifiers

September 12, 2003

PORTLAND, OR – Phoenix Gold Innovative Home™, a division of Phoenix Gold International, Inc., is introducing a new series of multi-channel amplifiers designed specifically to meet the needs of the Custom installer. The MX1230 (30 watts RMS x 12 @ 8 ohms, < 1% THD) and the MX 1260 (60 x 12 @ 8 ohms, <1% THD) feature brushed aluminum, titanium finish faceplates with soft blue indicator lighting. They have several interesting features that provide great flexibility for the professional installer. A unique audio buss system has been developed that allows each of the twelve amplifier sections to operate via a direct source, or through the bussing system to be assigned a right or left channel signal from a master source, or in cases where stereo is impractical, a summed mono signal can be assigned to a particular amplifier section. This will let the installer assign stereo left and right to a set of speaker installed in-wall in a bedroom, for example, and mono to in-ceiling speakers in a hallway. These amplifiers also feature auto-on signal sensing, 12vdc trigger turn-on and trigger out circuits, individual level controls for each amplifier section, and bridging capability for higher power output. “These new amplifiers were designed to provide the power and flexibility needed in today’s home audio distribution systems, and with the our new bussing system an installer can solve a variety of signal source problems,” commented Tim Leahy, Director of Sales and Marketing, Phoenix Gold Home Products.
