Panamax PRO Series Power Conditioners

July 10, 2003

Panamax, the industry’s leading manufacturer of power conditioning and protection products, is introducing the latest breakthrough in power solutions for the custom installer, the Panamax PRO Series.

The Pro Series is a family of Signature Installation Solutions designed to address power and signal challenges faced by custom installers.  In designing the PRO Series, Panamax combined its 25 years of power research and development with the knowledge of top system designer, Michael Candea.  Candea is the Special Projects Designer for Audio Advisors, one of today’s most successful custom installation companies, and adds 23 years of design and installation experience to the Pro Series’ design.

In applying Candea’s experience, Panamax has ensured the PRO Series solves the most relevant power conditioning and installation challenges system integrators face when installing custom audio/video systems. The Pro Series provides a discreet wiring solution for properly protecting and grounding any system and its remotely-placed-and-powered components like flat panel displays, or ceiling-mounted video projectors.

“We feel the PRO Series is going to have a ripple effect on the industry’s approach to power solutions,” stated Bob Smith, vice president of new business development for Panamax.  “Currently there is no power performance solution that matches the quality and caliber of the equipment installed in most high-end residential installations. The PRO Series provides that reliable, higher-end flexibility to meet the ever-evolving demands of today’s installations.”

The new Panamax PRO Series will come to market as the sole solution for complete protection of high-performance electronic systems, whether stand-alone or interconnected. Michael Candea’s partnership in the development of the PRO Series helped forge its unique pure performance attributes. His extensive installation experience and abundant insight into the most common challenges faced by industry professionals today, ensures the new line creates the most benefits to installers.

“System integration and design raises a set of logistical challenges to incorporating power protection throughout the whole-house in an efficient and cost-effective manner – without compromising performance,” said Michael Candea, special projects designer for Audio Advisors, and a licensed low voltage contractor, CEDIA Level II certified installer, as well as a licensed journeyman electrician. “I’ve seen a variety of unsuccessful approaches to solving power issues at locations other than the main system, but I am certain that with the PRO Series lineup we’ve hit upon a method that’s going to provide the answers installers are seeking, with an easy and code-compliant solution.”

The first family of products being introduced as part of the PRO Series line is the In-Wall Module Series. This entirely new set of components will launch the underlying concept behind the development of the PRO Series line, and will provide custom installers with an effective solution for fully protecting all of a home’s main and satellite electrical systems against power damage. The In-Wall Module Series is scheduled to ship in August.

The NEW In-Wall Module Series along with Panamax’s renowned MAX® line of power conditioners will be exhibited at CEDIA Expo 2003 in Indianapolis, Indiana, booth # 1520.
