high-performance audio, video and speaker cables, announced an alliance aimed at
developing new HDMI products, promoting HDMI to retailers and the CE industry,
and communicating the benefits of digital connectivity to consumers.
Silicon Image and Monster are working together to identify innovative
technologies and derivative products that leverage HDMI's crystal-clear,
all-digital, high-definition video and multi-channel audio. Both companies are
leveraging their respective areas of expertise to heighten users' experience
with digital content. Silicon Image was the first company to ship HDMI silicon
solutions in the marketplace, and its PanelLink Cinema(TM) HDMI implementation
has been selected by leading CE manufacturers to enable the world's first HDMI
products. At the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Silicon Image
unveiled its second-generation HDMI silicon featuring DVD-audio capability and
multiple inputs for greater HDMI connectivity. Monster Cable is now announcing
50 new HDMI connectivity products at the International CES for its dealers to
sell with HDMI-capable digital displays, DVD players and set-top boxes.

Monster and Silicon Image will also be co-promoting the benefits of HDMI to the

and receivers feature High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP), enabling
consumer electronics devices to deliver premium content and the highest-quality,
all-digital audio and video viewing experience to consumers. The Monster HDMI
products will include extended length connectivity solutions for projectors and
wall-mounted flat screen TVs where equipment is some distance from the display
device in addition to backwards-compatible HDMI-to-DVI products.
