power cord. Hand-crafted from the finest high-purity copper and featuring
noise-canceling technology, the Power Plus is an affordable upgrade that will
dramatically improve any home theater system's performance.
The quality of the AC power that is being fed to your components is, admittedly,
one of the most overlooked aspects of a home theater system-fluctuations in the
AC line as well as a component's own power supply can have an extreme effect on
performance and the "gimme" power cords that are supplied with many components
only exacerbate the problem. The Power Plus offers a high-quality alternative to
these "throw-away" power cords and will fit any component that will accept a
standard IEC cord.
The Power Plus is constructed with the finest high-purity copper for improved
conductivity of the electrical signal and uses noise-canceling geometries to
cancel intra-conductor interactions that can create noise and interference that
is then passed on to your components. This noise is sometimes referred to as
"hash" and manifests itself as a low-level "hiss" or "hum" through speakers
and/or hum bars in your video display. The magnetic field that is generated as
current flows through a conductor creates this distortion as it comes into close
proximity to A/V components. The Power Plus AC power cord's exclusive design
lowers overall system noise thereby improving the systems performance and your
enjoyment of it.
The Power Plus features two twelve-gauge conductors, and a twelve-gauge ground
and is wrapped in an attractive, custom insulation that reduces "coloration" and
