Audyssey Laboratories to License Algorithms for Digital Sound Processing

Los Angeles, CA: Immersive Audio Laboratory and Integrated Media Systems Center (IMSC) is announcing the formation of Audyssey Laboratories, Inc. located in Los Angeles, CA.

As a spin-off from the highly regarded Immersive Audio Laboratory and the Integrated Media Systems Center (IMSC), a National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center at the University of Southern California (USC), Audyssey Laboratories is set to revolutionize the audio industry by significantly raising the bar on audio quality and immersion technologies for consumer and professional audio enthusiasts. Audyssey’s focus is to research and develop algorithms for processing sound providing a more immersive auditory experience and commercialization of these technologies for licensing purposes by major consumer electronics manufacturers worldwide.

Audyssey Laboratories was founded by USC Masters Graduate and CEO Phil Hilmes; USC Ph.D. and President Dr. Sunil Bharitkar; USC Professor and company CTO Chris Kyriakakis and Jim Lucas co-founder and former Vice President of Sales for SRS Labs, Inc.
